JayZ signs on for Duracell Powermat Wireless Power ad campaign


While Jay-Z celebrates the birth of his daughter Blue Ivy, it’s business as usual as it was announced today that the business mogul has signed on to be an investor and the face of Duracell Powermat wireless power through a deal with Proctor & Gamble.

Here is more information courtesy of MarketWatch: Duracell Powermat, LLC, the joint venture formed in September 2011 by Procter & Gamble’s PG +0.24% Duracell brand and Powermat Technologies announced today that entrepreneur and 13 time Grammy award winning cultural icon Shawn “JAY Z” Carter has signed a multi-year global agreement with the company as an investment partner. He will also be the face and voice of the Duracell Powermat JV.

As a well-known trend-setter that helped redefine the music industry, JAY Z is uniquely positioned to bring wireless power to the people. His proven capability to mobilize and speak to a technology-savvy generation that lives and dies by their smartphones will enable Duracell Powermat to deliver the message that consumers need not forgo their richly mobile lifestyles because of insufficient battery power.
